Dr. Christopher Johnston, D.D.S
Dr. Johnston attended Benedictine University and graduated in 1997 with a B.S. (Biology) and then went on to Marquette University School of Dentistry graduating in 2002 with his D.D.S. (Doctorine of Dental Surgery). He has always had a passion for helping people maintain and improve their oral health, quality of life and appearance. "It gives great satisfaction to help deliver a smile our patients are proud of." One of the reasons he chose dentistry is because he enjoys the interaction with patients.
Dr. Johnston joined River Pines Dental in June of 2004 as an associate until 2006, from 2006 - 2012 he was a partner and in 2012 became owner. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, MN Dental Association, St. Paul District Dental Society, and Delegate for MN Dental Association (St. Paul District). Past boards he has sat on were the United Way of Hastings from 2006-2012 and is currently on the Hastings Public School Foundation board.
Dr. Johnston is married with 2 children. He and his wife settled in Hastings in 2002 and his wife has been a life long resident that graduated from Hastings High School in 1998. They chose Hastings because they enjoy the community, have strong family ties here and they love the area. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and dog Charlie.
One thing Dr. Johnston and his team prides themselves on is providing excellent patient care and treating patients as family.
MONICA, Practice Manager
Monica joined the River Pines Dental team in 2015. She leads the River Pines Dental team as the Office Manager. Monica is also a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Monica was appointed to the Minnesota Board of Nursing by Governor Mark Dayton in 2012 and served as a board member for four years.
Monica enjoys working and caring for patients in all capabilities. To her "oral health is connected to your overall health". Monica lives in Hastings with her husband and 2 children, Taylor and Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors.
ANNA, Patient Care Coordinator
Anna joined the River Pines Dental team in July of 2015 and came with 15 plus years of management and customer service experience. She has always enjoyed interacting with people and all aspects of creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for any patient or customer. She listens to many peoples hesitations with dentistry and wants to take as much stress out of that as possible. Anna is here to help with any questions about scheduling, insurance or billing that may arise.
Outside of work she enjoys skiing, reading and traveling as much as possible. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Jay and two young boys Axton and Lenox.
CHERI, R.D.H.
Cheri is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She went to school at Mankato State University and graduated in 1983, and has been with the practice since 1983. She always knew she wanted to do something in the medical/dental field. In her free time she loves to travel.
